My son just loves to watch the Disney Pixar movie Up. For those who don’t know, it’s about an elderly man who decides to go on a trip to South America by tying thousands of balloons to his house. Now going on a trip with all your belongings would be great with all the comforts of home. But probably the closest thing would be with an rv. You could secure rv loans and start planning your trip right away. No more lost baggage and all the hassles of travelling. It may be slower than flying, but I think it would be cheaper, plus you get to see all the sights from here to there.

House Hunting

The in-laws are arriving in about a couple of months, and will now stay here permanently. My sister-in-law has already been looking around for a house for us to transfer. I’m not just sure where she prefers to transfer, but as long as it’s close to everyone’s workplace, has great schools nearby for the kids, and maybe a clubhouse with above ground pools for everyone to play in, I’ll be fine with it.

Client Call

I just got word that I’ll be doing a client call tomorrow, so that means I’ll be away from the office into the steel buildings of our client. They’re located at another technopark, so most of the buildings there are factory-type in another town about an hour’s drive from here. I’ve been in the office for over a week so a short client visit is a welcome note.

Woody, Iron Man or a Fireman… those are my options for Lance as his Halloween costume this coming November. I don’t know yet if they have an activity in school but I want to buy him a costume so that we can participate in the trick or treat done at the malls. I’m also browsing to look for costumes for Hannah so that she also has something to wear and join his Kuya in the activities.

I just received an email from my cousin who took the last SAT exams. Fortunately, he got a good score on his exams. He was so happy that he just about sent every family member an email with the news. Good news indeed as he can go to his preferred university. I know that he prepared hard and studied diligently for the SAT, taking sat prep courses so he can have a feel on the setup and the questions. He did great on all sections of the exam – thanks to the online sat prep he took. Good job there cousin!

Looking For Headphones

Just about everyone in the family likes music. The kids included. Sometimes when we’re in the room, they’ll ask you to turn on the radio so they can hear music. They already have their favorite songs. When they see us using our earphones, they’d want to listen in too. Since they’re kids, they could get really rough with their things so I better check out some headphone reviews to look for durable headphones for them. I might get them those bandback headphones they could just put it on and they wouldn’t have to worry about it falling off when they jump up and down while listening to their favorite tunes.

One of the benefits that I don’t want to use in the office but it’s good to know that you have one is our health benefits. I really am not familiar what our coverage are or if we have Medicare part D plans but I’m still glad that we have one. Before, I don’t care about stuff like this but when I got married, I appreciate it so much! I’ve been in the company for more than a decade and it’s only now that I use it. I used them for consultations when I was pregnant, it came handy when Lance was confined due to pneumonia and I use them for consultations when we visit the kids’ pedia. Again, it’s a benefit that I don’t want to use but it’s good to have one.

Mommy and Child at ISYC

Last Saturday was a wonderful day for me. ISYC had a mother and child activity at the school and I was really excited to bond with Lance. Paul drove us to the school and when we got to Lance’s classroom, some of his classmates are there already and so he played with them first.

The activity started with circle time where the kids sang songs and were asked to introduce their mommies. Mommies were then asked to tell how they bond with their kids. After that, we were all given bags and some art materials to decorate our bag. The school is very supportive in saving the earth and the bag can be used as a shopping bag. After they distributed the bags, we then went to our respective places to work on our decorations. I asked Lance on where he wants to put the decors while I put glue stick on them. Here we are working on our bag. This pic was taken by Teacher Ysai.

When everyone’s finished, kids were asked to line up to go to the wash room to clean their hands. We prayed and then ate the food the mommies prepared. Each of us was assigned to bring food good for 10 people to share with everybody. When everyone’s finished eating, we went back to circle time where the kids sang their goodbye song.

I enjoyed our bonding time in school. Even if we have limited time, I’m glad I was able to bond with Lance in school. I’m also happy to see his classmates especially those names I hear from Lance. I’m looking forward to more bonding times with Lance in school. I’m sure Paul is also looking forward to his time with Lance. The school has a schedule for Daddy and child activity day too and I’m sure my boys will have fun when that time comes.
