Drive To Batangas
We went to Batangas yesterday to pick up the “suman” that my dad brought to the US. I drove for him since my sister doesn’t want to drive. We left the house at 5:30am and were in Batangas by 7:30am. This was way faster compared to last week went we went to Batangas also for my uncle’s death anniversary. Last week, we left at 4:30 but we arrived in Batangas at 11am. There was heavy traffic when you exit the calamba toll. We were all so hungry when we arrived in Batangas that our supposed breakfast meals were included in our lunch meal hehe!
Anyway, I really love going to the province. I get to see old friends and relatives and ask how they’re doing. And also, I love it when we go back to Manila, we have plenty of fruits and native delicacies.Like last Sunday, we brought home “suman”, “tabliya”, bananas and other fruits. I was able to buy uraro pa for my officemates.
We left Batangas by 11am and again I was the one who drove. They were all asleep when we were at star toll so I drove 140km/hr hehe! I sure had fun since it was my first time to drive that fast and no one was complaining because they were all sleeping. Although when I noticed that I’m exceeding 140 na, I slowed down because I’m scared especially we have the kids inside the car too.
We got home by 2pm since we went pa to Makati to pick up the brownies and to buy hopia that my dad will be bringing too. As of this writing, my dad is on board SQ flight bound for LA and he’ll arrive there tomorrow. And with him were all the pasalubongs we got from Batangas.
