Mommy Moments : First Aid Tips
This week on mommy moments:
I was thinking of what to share with you about this topic. My kids have not experienced “hard core” first aid assistance yet hehe. So I’ll just list down here what we have in our house. I only downloaded the pics in the net for I was not able to take a pic of them at home.
- Ear thermometer – this is a must. It’s easier to get their temperature using this one. I asked Paul to buy this when he was in the US
- Betadine and bandaid – in case they get cuts or wounds when playing

- Insect repellant – either ilog maria or off lotion. To prevent mosquito or other insect bites
- Synalar ointment – we use this for insect bites. If we ran out of this, we sometimes use katinko.

Since Lance has asthma, we make sure we have ventolin syrup available so that when he has cough, we will immediately ask him to drink the medicine so that it won’t lead to asthma. We also have a nebulizer and ventolin nebules if worse comes to worst.
I don’t know what to share anymore. Just always be prepared and have the necessary first aid kits needed in case of emergency. Don’t panic so that you’ll know what to do. As much as we want to protect our kids all the time, we cannot prevent accidents from happening. So being prepared will make it less stressful.

we have off lotion too, grabe kase lamok ngayon. thermometer, plasters and povidone iodine are must haves in out medicine cabinets.
erratum: must haves in our medicine cabinets.
