Unfair
A friend and I recently discovered that we’re supposed to receive some benefits that were not given to us when we were promoted last year. We talked to someone and she said that employee B who’s the same level as ours is receiving that benefit. So we talked to our boss but unfortunately, her reply was disappointing. She said she’s not aware that employee B is receiving the benefit. She advised us to check with HR. And so we did. The HR person said B is not receiving the benefit we’re saying. So we stopped asking that HR person and went back to the person who told us of that benefit. Before we asked our boss about it, I asked her if she’s sure that there is a benefit that B is receiving and we don’t. When I asked her about it again, she can’t reply to my query anymore. Hmm… I smell something fishy. I don’t know if her bosses asked her to keep mum about the issue and not to answer our questions anymore. If that’s the case, it’s unfair!!! Right now, we’re trying to dig more info and hopefully we will get cooperation from the people that we will ask.

After my friend’s investigation, she found out that we and employee B are receiving the same benefits.
